COVID-19 IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR PATIENTS

Regardless of travel history or contact with confirmed COVID-19 (Corona-virus) cases, if you have a new continuous cough or a high temperature (of 37.8 degrees centigrade or higher) you should self-isolate for 7 days from the onset of symptoms. if you have serious symptoms that cannot be managed at home, please use NHS 111 online.

After 7 days of self-isolation, if you feel better and no longer have a high temperature, you can return to your normal routine. if you have not had any sign of improvement after 7 days and have not already sought medical advice, you should use  NHS 111 online before you leave your home or or let visitors in.

A cough may persist for several weeks in some people, despite the virus infection having cleared. A persistent cough alone does not mean someone must continue to stay at home for more than 7 days.

Testing for Corona-virus will not be offered routinely to individuals staying at home.

If you are unable to work for more than 7 days because of Covid-19 (corona virus) you can obtain an isolation note through a new online service. you DO NOT NEED a note from the doctor. For more information please go to https://nhs.uk/isolation-note
